Back when we could travel more easily I picked up a couple of packages of Mohnback from Dr. Oetker when we were in Munich. Mohnback is prepared poppyseed – milled and boiled. Pie is one of those things I am getting better at. It’s the baking that kills me. Finding that spot where the crust has completely baked and the filling is properly cooked has been pretty difficult.
A good friend invited us for tea one afternoon in early December. I brought along this Mincemeat bar. The original recipe – via Kellie @ Food To Glow – was gluten free as witten but, I needed to also needed to be sure it was vegan and make it more of a bar/cookie.

Every year I put together a Christmas Cookie Box for friends and family. This past Christmas they were sent out the last weekend of November for deilvery before Advent.
We were haveing some friends and a neighbour over for dinner one evening we needed a dessert. Cake!
But I digress….
I was requested to make a carrot cake. A favourite around our house but there is always way too much for the two of us to enjoy – responsibly.
Last week a few friends and I got together for a last summer lunch. Two friends were on their lunch hour and the other two had the day at leisure. Nando’s was close for all on this day.
